Born in Los Angeles, G. listened to his first Stevie Wonder record at five years old. Through the next 15 years, G. found inspiration in newer artists like Lauryn Hill and Brian Mcknight, as well as in producers like Chad Hugo of the Neptunes. G. combines the fluid and progressing sound of rock instrumentals, with synthetic instruments from hip hop, and vocals that appeal to all genres.
